Great things happen when people work together. This was evident at Salute to Rhubarb Fest on June 12 in Fountain City. The Fest Committee appreciates all who helped make the event a success. The Friday crew treated ants, washed tables and cleaned the shelter. Thanks to Les and company for assistance with moving tables, and to the Saturday early crew that helped set up crafter’s tents. To the Kristi and Travis for taking on the huge task of the car show, next year is in the planning. To those that showed their car at the show, your input for the future is appreciated. To all the business owners that gave donation, we support you. Thanks to Carrie for storing and installing the banner; that is a big responsibility. To all the volunteers that want to remain anonymous, we could not do this without you. To those that displayed their crafts, you do a wonderful job. Thank you to the mayor and City Council members that helped the day of the event. Thanks to all the people that attended the event. To anyone that we might have overlooked, we do appreciate what you do for us. The committee that planned the event and believed that we would have a terrific weather, you were right! To the Winona Post for printing our information on the fest and Bob for the nice job on the event highlights, we are very grateful.
On behalf of the Salute to Rhubarb Fest, we want to say a big thank you.
