Palubicki again donates handmade toys to Toys for Kids

Stanley J. Palubicki has again donated a large mass of wooden handmade toys to Toys for Kids. Palubicki, with his constant companion Sparky, worked long hours making airplanes, steamboats, cars and trucks for those children needing them this Christmas.

Starting three years ago, Palubicki began contributing to Toys for Kids. A Winona native, he graduated from Cotter and joined the Air Force, serving in the Arctic on the DEW Line; he worked for Biesanz Stone for 42 years; since retirement, Palubicki has enjoyed hours in his shop with Sparky, making beautiful wooden furniture such as grandfather clocks often auctioned of at St. Stanislaus Basilica fairs. He has sold some of his handmade furniture, presently having a roll top desk on the market. He and his children built his on garage on East Belleview. While Palubicki works at his carpentry machines, his dog Sparky barks his approval for each new completed toy.
