The city of Winona and Winona County Sheriff’s Office will be holding a free vaccine clinic at the first Lake Park Drive-in Music And Movies event on Friday May 29, starting at 6:30 p.m. at the Lake Park Bandshell in Winona. Now you can sign up to hear the great Annie Mack, watch “West Side Story” on the big screen, and get your COVID vaccine taken care of all at the same event. When you sign up for a spot at the drive-in event on Eventbrite (there is both in-car and on the bench seating), you can check the box requesting to have the on-site health care professional provide you with a single-shot, Johnson & Johnson vaccine, too! The concert begins at 7 pm. and the movie starts at 9 p.m.
“This event was a big success with only four showings last year. We are excited to bring back this program with an expanded lineup of musicians and movies that will last all summer long,” said Maggie Panetta, production director of Treedome. The ability to partner with our local health officials to offer vaccinations at the events is just a natural extension of the desire to serve the community and have folks come together safely.
