Great gifts that give back with the WCHS

The Winona County Historical Society (WCHS) has several fun ways to keep holiday shopping local and safe this year, plus your gifts also give back to a great organization and fellow community members.

The Winona County Christmas Bucket

Normally WCHS would be offering the Christmas House Tour this year, but because of COVID-19 they are offering a safer holiday fundraiser – the Winona County Christmas Bucket. Each Behrens bucket includes local gifts, treats, certificates, and more all neatly presented and ready for Christmas gift exchanges or as a special treat for yourself or family for the holiday season.

Pre-order Christmas Bucket(s) now through December 13 by calling 507-454-2723, extension 0, for $25 each. Or you can now stop in to purchase during The Museum Shop hours: 10 a.m. - 4 p.m., Thursday through Saturday. Then, pick them up at the History Center, December 18 -19, from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Many of the people receiving services at Hiawatha Valley Mental Health Center (HVMHC) have been struggling financially due to the pandemic. Many have had their work hours cut or have had to cut back at work to stay home and teach their children. Support two great organizations and your neighbors by donating your Winona County Christmas Bucket purchases to those in need through HVMHC. Just let WCHS know when you buy your bucket(s) if you want us to deliver them to HVMHC to be gifted to families in need.
