Girl Scouts from Galesville-Ettrick-Trempealeau area are hosting a cupcake challenge. Bakers of all ages/experience should register to submit an original cupcake inspired by a Girl Scouts cookie flavor. Participants will be divided into the categories of Girl Scouts, amateur, and professional, and there will be prizes awarded in each category. Local celebrity judges will decide which cupcake is the Girl Scout cookiest of them all. Proceeds will go towards a newly created scholarship fund for local Girl Scouts. Registration deadline is Nov. 11th. Go to http://tinyurl.com/getgsccc to obtain a registration form. If you would rather just sample these tasty treats, then please join us on Nov. 16th from 3:00pm to 5:30pm at the Trempealeau Community Center where the cupcakes will be for sale and the winners will be announced. 2:30 am Senior University - Music of Coutries and Cultures
Each class will focus in turn on the music of China, Africa, India, and the Carribbean/South America. Following class, we will hear excellent live performances by representative artists from these cultures at the International Music Series Concerts, 6 p.m. in the East Cafeteria of Kryszko Commons on the same Thursdays classes meet. Each class will present background information on the music of the culture featured in that evening’s concert, plus basic understanding of the unique instruments, musical ideas, and cultural context of the music.

6:05 pm Winona ORC’s Starlight Stroll Run/Walk/Roll
Event Date: Nov. 8, 2013 Visit our website at: http://www.winonaorc.org/starlight-stroll-5k1-mile-walkrunroll/ Grab your glow sticks and join us for Winona ORC's first annual Starlight Stroll Run/Walk/Roll. This race is a 5k and 1 Mile event which will begin and end at East Lake Lodge in Winona. The Starlight Stroll is a unique fundraiser which will open the door for area runners, walkers and those with disabilities to join together in a healthy community activity. Wheelchair entries have the option of participating with or without assistance and are welcome in both distances. Experience Winona ORC's Starlight Stroll 5k and 1 Mile run, walk or roll (wheelchairs only), all at a single event. The fun starts when the sun goes down!

Who's gonna RULE the roost?! Join the challenge, 3 Great races run on the best cross country trails in the area. Fly solo with the 2.3 or 7.8 Mile Open trail runs or grab the flock and join the heart pounding 9.5 Mile 4-Person Relay Challenge (High School and Mixed Age divisions). 11:30 am Fall Luncheon and Raffle
Fall Luncheon and Raffle sponsored by Court St. Charles Catholic Daughters will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2013 from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 1900 East 6th Street, St. Charles, MN. Entertainment provided by Loren Wolfe as he performs his "Johnny Cash and Friends Show". The event concludes with the announcement of raffle winners. Adoption is a great way to start or expand your family. Catholic Charities will be offering an opportunity for people to gain information about adoption through an informational meeting. Anyone thinking about adoption is encouraged to attend in order to get more information about what the process involves. Recent events have coalesced to suggest the possibility of a meeting of The Fountain City Boat Club at The MMAM around 5p.m. on Thursday November 14th, 2013. Potential items for discussion may include The Cardinal Directions, the current situation and, potentially, performance. The regular digression will redintegrate Art and Music.

This touring production by Theatreworks USA explores the journey of a group of children in turn-of-the-century London who use their imaginations to reenact the story of Peter Pan. This story empowers children to create their own world of make-believe. As the children fly to Neverland and escape the evil Captain Hook and Mr. Smee, they recognize the importance of friendship as well as the value of being part of a family.
