5:30 pm Alpha Course The Alpha course is an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian faith. It’s relaxed, low key, friendly and fun. There is a meal together at the beginning of each session, which gives us an opportunity to get to know each other. There is no charge for the Alpha course, although contributions for food are welcome. Listen, learn, discuss and discover. And ask anything. Alpha is a place where no question is too simple.

10:00 am 2012 Veterans Day Program Veterans Day Ceremony will take place at 11:00 a.m. on 11-11-12. From 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. there will equipment displays/reenactors, including Civil War, WWII/Korea, MN National Guard, Charlie Co.; and a WWII Studebaker US 6 vintage transport truck. Program sponsored by the local American Legion Post No. 9, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 1287 and Military Order of the Purple Heart Chapter No. 5555, and American Legion Sons of the American Legion. The event is free and everyone is invited. At 3:00 p.m., the movie "Memorial Day" will be shown at the Winona Area Veterans Center free-of-charge to the public. Come and thank a veteran for their service. The Winona 2012 Veterans Day Program has been selected as a 2012 Veterans Day Regional Site by the Department of Veterans Affairs, Washington, DC.

7:00 pm The Minnesota Conservatory for the Arts Fall Music The Minnesota Conservatory for the Arts, a 501(c) 3 nonprofit arts organization, offers programming in Dance, Music, Visual Art, and Theatre, year-round. Classes, lessons, workshops, and camps are offered for ages 3 to adult at the Valéncia Arts Center (VAC) located at 1164 West 10th Street, Winona, MN.
On Friday, November 16 at 7pm, MCA will hold its Fall Music Division Concert at the Figliulo Recital Hall on the SMU Campus. The concert will showcase the Winona Area Youth Singers (WAYS), our two NEW Jazz Combos, and a variety of our private lesson students. We encourage all members of the community to come out and support these talented young musicians!

1:00 pm Sugar Plum Fairy Tea Party Fundraiser This year's Sugar Plum Fairy Tea Party will feature two tea sittings (1 p.m. and 4 p.m.), providing specialty teas and exquisite finger foods, as well as an opportunity to shop our Land of Sweets Gift Boutique, featuring unique crafts and gifts. Tickets are Children $15, and Adults $18. Proceeds from The Sugar Plum Fairy Tea Party go toward the MCA student scholarship fund and Nutcracker production costs.
