8:00 am Wabasha Riverboat Days
The 35th Annual Riverboat Days returns to Mighty Mississippi River this July. Once again, Wabasha-Kellogg Chamber and CVB invites audiences to experience great music, unique art, games, food and plenty of family fun for all. This year he have inflatables for the young’uns, a giant rock climbing wall for both the mid of the road kids and the older ones with a little dare-devil in them, and for those with a lot of dare-devil in them we are bringing back US Airbag. Climb up 3 stories and jump into a giant airbag. A little more daunting then you may think and a lot more fun than you may expect. Along with our many activities which include volleyball, BMX/Skateboard completion, ben bag tournament, fishing contest, firemen’s waterfight, and kid power pedal pull; we are lucky enough to host the 5/10 K River Run and Fitness walk presented by Saint Elizabeth’s (8am), an open house by National Eagle Center from 5-7, Yoga in the Park by Complete Motions (10-11), and Carriage Rides presented by the AmericInn. Wabasha’s will once again host its 2nd Annual Duck Race. Come watch as we release 700 rubber ducks onto the Mississippi River and cheer on the fastest. Feeling lucky?? For $5 you can try to pick a winning duck. Top prize will be $700 with second walking away with $200 and 3rd with $100. Contact the Chamber or local businesses with Yellow Ducks on their doors. The festival’s main event will be the presentation of Lost Highway on Saturday, July 27th at 9pm. This Midwest band, and Minnesota favorite, will be rocking the stage in Heritage Park. Come join the fun and see why Riverboat days has been described as the “biggest party on the Mississippi River”.
