Facebook Event Link: Winona Mountain Bike Trails Meeting Greetings Mountain Bikers, Outdoor Enthusiasts, and Allies, Come to the WinonaMountain Bike Trails meeting in the lower room of Bub’s Brewery (65 E 4th St Winona, MN) at 8pm on Wednesday, February 20th, 2013. Within the local cycling community, a group of interested riders has garnered interest in re-establishing the 501c3 Non-Profit status associated to Winona Area Mountain Bikers, W.A.M.B. With the permission of former Board members of W.A.M.B., we would like to invite you to an evening of information, advocacy, and stewardship! During the meeting topics will include: · Recap of recent pertinent events, discussions and opportunities · Reasons for revitalizing WAMB and why we need a 501c3 Non-Profit Status · Explanation of Board of Directors and Officer positions · Nomination and Voting for all positions · Insight into purposeful short and long term group goals · Planning and succession procedures · Potential opportunities for every member We strongly encourage anyone with an interest in outdoor recreation in Winona to attend this meeting. We believe that with a coordinated effort, from interested locals, government entities, local business owners, corporate sponsorship partners, and you, we can provide World Class Recreation experiences for not only ourselves, but for generations to come. Join the River City Ballroom Dancers at their upcoming dance on Saturday, February 23, 2013, at the Winona Athletic Club's 2nd floor ballroom where you can learn some new dance steps. The evening begins at 7 p.m. with the Tango and Hustle dance lessons followed by an evening of dancing from 8 to 10:30 p.m. Admission is $10 per person; $5 for students. Singles and couples of all ages welcome to attend. No dance experience required.

Mouse can scare hungry animals away with tall stories of the terrifying Gruffalo, but what happens when he comes face to face with the very creature he imagined? Songs, laughs and scary fun for children aged 3 and up, and their adults… Let your imagination run wild! Tall Stories, from London, England, was founded in 1996 by joint artistic directors Olivia Jacobs and Toby Mitchell. The company has grown to become a highly acclaimed, internationally touring, not-for-profit organization. They present old, new and timeless stories in fresh and exciting ways and their productions tour to theatres, community venues and schools in the UK, Europe, North America and Asia. Tall Stories aims to tell stories in a physical, visual style and their performances link original music with movement and a lot of laughs.

Come join Watkins Plain View Employee garden and the Wabasha Community garden for our 2nd annual seed exchange: Saturday, March 2nd 1:00 – 3:00 pm 371 E 4th St, Winona, MN 55987 (White garage adjacent to employee garden) Rain or Shine or Snow Rules of the exchange: *All seeds should be labeled clearly with variety and "packed for" date - as well as germination rate, organic/ heirloom/ hybrid, etc. *Home-collected seed should be labeled with variety name and date collected, plus as much description as possible. *Seed older than 5 years should not be brought to the exchange. (2008) *Participants should bring envelopes/containers and writing instruments to take seeds they want home with them. *Participants should take back any seed they brought which was not taken by others. A portion of our proceeds will also be donated to them.
