Mid West Music Fest has been forced to adapt to the times. While conditions have not allowed much opportunity for people to gather for concerts, MWMF is excited to partner with marching band Loud Mouth Brass to present a band in the street performance during Dine Out Downtown on July 17 from 5:30-7 p.m.
Rochester-based Loud Mouth Brass crafts a tasty musical recipe, a splash of New Orleans and a pinch of pop music. From the top of its blue sousaphone to the bottom of its thumping bass drum, this band exudes fun. For the band in the street performance they will expand to a seven-piece and perform in a marching format up and down Third Street in Winona during Dine Out Downtown, which is hosted by Winona Main Street and the Winona Area Chamber of Commerce, through the streets of the historic district, with a couple stops at the fountain in Windom Park. The band’s line up consists of Becca Combs-Cawley (sousaphone), Ryan Donohue (tenor sax), Eric Stashek (bari sax), Jon Knutson (trumpet), Nick Novotny (drum set), and John Sievers (trombone). Don’t hesitate to get a little loud because Loud Mouth Brass won’t mind.
The format allows for proper social distancing and all mask wearers will get a thumbs up!
